With just 16mm of rainfall recorded during May, our cleaning, greening, and maintenance teams took full advantage of the drier conditions to focus on detailed upkeep across the precinct. This monthβs efforts reflect a shift back to foundational maintenance tasks to ensure that the Riverhorse Valley precinct remains clean, green, and well managed.
Back to Basics: Deep Cleaning and Garden Care
With core services such as grass cutting, verge and sidewalk maintenance, weed spraying and garden upkeep continuing as scheduled, the teams also prioritised more detailed work. This included the pressure washing of precinct entrance features and directional signage restoring these key visual markers and enhancing the overall appearance of the area.

Ongoing Oversight and Performance Management
Regular monthly site inspections were held with senior representatives from our contracted service providers. These collaborative visits are essential in ensuring high standards are upheld, with site-specific feedback used to guide future focus areas and improvements.
Alien Invasive Control and Litter Collection
The alien invasive control teams maintained a strong presence in the precinct throughout the month, concentrating on vegetation management along boundary lines and intensifying litter removal from the riverbanks and waterways. Their work led to the collection of a significant 1,200 bags of litter during May, playing an important role in keeping the environment clean and supporting local biodiversity.

As we approach the cooler winter months, the focus remains on sustaining this momentum, maintaining public spaces, and ensuring that all aspects of precinct management remain on track.
