Riverhorse Valley’s cleaning, greening, and maintenance teams have delivered another productive month of consistent upkeep across the precinct. With just 4mm of rainfall recorded during July, teams made the most of the dry weather to focus on both detailed scheduled maintenance and ad-hoc improvements.
New gardens and reinstated verges
Several new gardens were planted during the month, including reinstated landscaping outside Courier Guy on Imvubu Park Place and the Engen garage on Quarry Park Place. These additions, maintained through our efficient irrigation system, contribute to the precinct’s polished appearance. Servest teams also reinstated damaged verges in high-traffic areas, ensuring all surfaces are level, safe, and well maintained.

Preparing for the rainy season
Ahead of the upcoming rainy months, v-drains were cleared to improve water flow and mitigate flooding. Sweepers were active across the precinct, removing sand and debris, while garden beds and tree rings were neatened to ensure optimal plant health and appearance.

Boundary control and alien invasive work
Alien invasive control teams tackled full rear boundary cuts and applied targeted chemical spraying where necessary. Teams also conducted routine grass cutting, verge edging, and tree and hedge trimming throughout the precinct, keeping visibility and aesthetics in check.

Litter collection: over 1,600 bags removed
An impressive 1,634 bags of refuse were collected during July, including litter from the riverbanks and key thoroughfares. A bobcat was deployed to assist with some of the more challenging collection areas—highlighting our commitment to keeping the precinct clean, presentable, and environmentally safe.

We extend our thanks to all contractors and teams involved for their continued dedication and to our members for their support in upholding the high standards of Riverhorse Valley.
