Stakeholders are advised to take note that Riverhorse Valley may experience reduced water availability following a technical failure affecting pumps supplying the Durban Heights Water Treatment Works.
uMngeni-uThukela Water is repairing the affected pumps, with work expected to be completed by Thursday, 8 October 2026. The technical failure has resulted in reduced bulk water supply to eThekwini, affecting areas supplied through the Northern Aqueduct, including Riverhorse Valley.
Members are urged to use water sparingly, avoid unnecessary water usage and refrain from water wastage while repairs are underway.
