April has been a month of steady progress and proactive maintenance across the Riverhorse Valley precinct. From advancing critical security infrastructure to tackling environmental challenges, teams have remained focused on keeping the precinct safe, clean, and well-maintained.
CCTV Expansion Project
A special security project is underway with the installation of a new CCTV camera on Riverhorse Close. The camera pole has already been successfully installed, and electrical and fibre connections are currently in progress. The camera is expected to be fully operational within the next few weeks.
Tree Removal to Protect Infrastructure
To protect infrastructure, the removal of overgrown fever trees that have been damaging roads and pavements commenced this month. Β The tree roots have caused upliftment of roads and walkways. The project is scheduled over 7 weekends (work is being done on weekends to minimise disruption to traffic and business operations)

2855 Bags Collected – Consistent Maintenance & Cleaning
Cleaning, greening, and maintenance teams continued to deliver reliable service throughout April, with all contractors working according to schedule and responding to ad hoc requirements where needed. Over 2855 refuse bags were collected, and the area recorded 34mm of rainfall this month, benefitting vegetation throughout the precinct. Key focus areas included:
- Ongoing garden and verge maintenance;
- Daily cleaning and upkeep of public spaces;
- Continued attention to overall precinct presentation.

The alien invasive control teams also made strong progress in environmental management this month, with 2-metre boundary cuts completed along Riverhorse Road, alien vegetation removed, and targeted herbicide spraying conducted to prevent regrowth.
The consistency of these efforts ensures that Riverhorse Valley remains a clean, attractive, and professional environment for all stakeholders.
