Each year, Riverhorse Valley Business Estate invites businesses, property owners, employees and other precinct stakeholders to take part in our annual Precinct Perception Survey.
The survey has become an important part of how we build a clearer understanding of the precinct through the experiences of the people who know it best – those who work, operate, invest and spend time here every day.
A successful business precinct is about more than infrastructure and investment. It is also about the everyday experience of the people within it. From arriving at work each morning to moving through public spaces during the day, every interaction contributes to how the precinct is perceived. View our 2025 results here.
For some, that experience is shaped by operating a business. For others, it is influenced by managing a property portfolio, overseeing staff, visiting clients, or simply enjoying a safe, clean and well-maintained environment. Each perspective is different, yet every perspective contributes to a more complete understanding of the precinct.
That is why the Precinct Perception Survey is so valuable.
Rather than focusing on a single issue, the survey provides an annual snapshot of how the precinct is performing across a range of areas that influence the overall business environment. These include perceptions around:
- Safety and security
- Cleanliness
- Public spaces
- Maintenance
- Infrastructure
- The overall experience of operating within the precinct
Importantly, the survey also allows us to recognise where progress is being experienced. Understanding what is working well is just as valuable as identifying areas that require continued attention. Over time, the survey results help build a meaningful benchmark, allowing us to measure trends, celebrate improvements and better understand changing priorities across the precinct.
Your Lived Experience of the Precinct
No two people experience the precinct in the same way. A business owner may view it through the lens of operational efficiency, a property owner may consider long-term investment confidence, while an employee may place greater importance on safety, accessibility and the quality of the environment they experience every day. Bringing these perspectives together creates a richer, more representative picture of the precinct.
The insights gathered through the survey contribute to informed discussions, ongoing planning and the Management Association’s understanding of where members and stakeholders believe attention should be focused. While the survey is one of many inputs that guide future planning, it provides an important annual measure of how the precinct is being experienced by those who interact with it every day.
If you work, own property, operate a business or regularly spend time within Riverhorse Valley Business Estate, we encourage you to take a few minutes to complete this year’s Precinct Perception Survey.
