As we work together to maintain Riverhorse Valley as a well-managed and professional business precinct, we’d like to thank our members for taking note of the recent email communications regarding key reminders and responsibilities.
Precinct Rules and Development Guidelines
We recently circulated an email highlighting the importance of adhering to the Riverhorse Valley Business Estate Management Association (RHVBEMA) rules and development code. These rules are in place to guide members on property upkeep, building alterations, signage, and processes around additions such as borehole installations.
A few important takeaways:
-
All exterior alterations, signage, and additions must be approved by the Association in advance.
-
Members are reminded to maintain their properties, including painting and general upkeep, to match the standards upheld in public open spaces.
-
If you are considering a borehole installation, prior notification and relevant documentation must be submitted to the Association for review.
You can find the full set of rules and the development manual here.
Road Safety Reminder: Keep to the 60km/h Speed Limit
In response to ongoing concerns about speeding in the precinct, particularly by courier and delivery vehicles, we issued a call to members to reinforce road safety protocols with staff and service providers. The speed limit throughout Riverhorse Valley is 60km/h, and we urge all drivers to observe it.
We’ve engaged with the eThekwini Traffic Department to assist with signage to reinforce the limit. In the meantime, your assistance in sharing this message with drivers, contractors, and employees is appreciated.
Together, we can uphold the standards that make Riverhorse Valley a desirable and professional business environment.
