Over the past 10 days, our Management Associationβs cleaning and greening teams have made significant strides in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of Riverhorse Valley. Their efforts have ensured that our precinct continues to be a clean, green, and welcoming environment for all.
Precinct Cleaning, Greening, and Maintenance The overall condition of the precinct is excellent, with the area looking clean and well-maintained. Our teams have focused on revitalising key areas, including the replanting of hedges and gardens along Hippo Park Avenue. These areas were significantly damaged during the recent floods and required repairs to the East reservoir before replanting could take place. Now that the reservoir repairs are complete, our teams have successfully restored the greenery, bringing new life to Hippo Park Avenue.
Alien Invasive Control In addition to the replanting efforts, our teams have been actively managing alien invasive species in the wetlands. This important work helps to preserve the natural ecosystem of our precinct. Over the past 10 days, our teams have also collected 224 bags of litter from areas affected by alien invasives, further enhancing the cleanliness and ecological balance of Riverhorse Valley.
Nwabisa Mkhize, our Precinct Manager, shared her thoughts on the recent work: “It’s encouraging to see the transformation of Hippo Park Avenue after the challenges we faced. The team’s dedication to maintaining our green spaces is what keeps Riverhorse Valley thriving.”
These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the beauty and functionality of our precinct. The dedication of our cleaning and greening teams ensures that Riverhorse Valley remains a pleasant and attractive place for everyone.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation as we work to keep our precinct at its best.
