Prince Umhlangane Road Landslide Update

During December, the landslide on Prince Umhlangane Road worsened, resulting in the road being closed past City Logistics. Traffic has been diverted to ensure safety and maintain traffic flow within the area. The eThekwini Roads Department has advised that a Technical Team has been assigned to assess the situation, and repairs should commence soon.

Maintenance and Repair Work Completed

Various eThekwini departments resumed fault repairs in January, with 7 reported issues successfully addressed. These included water leaks, a sewer fault, replacement of damaged directional signage and stormwater drain clearing.

RHV continues to engage with eThekwini Municipality and relevant departments to monitor progress and ensure that critical infrastructure issues affecting Riverhorse Valley are addressed as efficiently as possible. Further updates will be shared as new information becomes available.
