14 Faults Resolved Ahead of Year End Shutdown in Riverhorse Valley

Municipal Services

Service delivery and enforcement efforts in Riverhorse Valley remained active over the past few weeks, with visible progress made by municipal departments and law enforcement agencies.

14 Municipal Faults Resolved Through Ongoing Engagement

During this period, 14 faults were successfully attended to by various eThekwini Municipality departments, thanks to consistent tracking and escalation by the precinct management team. These included:

  • Streetlight repairs,

  • Electrical outage response,

  • Water and sewer leak resolutions.

All reported faults are logged, monitored, and followed up until fully resolved to maintain infrastructure standards across the estate.

Metro Police Presence Maintains Pressure on Road Offenders

Metro Police continued their operations in the precinct, particularly along Queen Nandi Drive, Corobrick Road, and Imvubu Park Place, with officers intervening when illegal truck parking was observed.

While this visible enforcement does help ward off offenders in the moment, illegal parking and traffic obstructions remain a recurring issue, especially outside of Metro’s patrol hours.

A Call for Business Accountability

We appeal to all members and businesses in the precinct to support safe and legal road use by:

  • Scheduling deliveries during appropriate hours,

  • Instructing logistics partners and drivers to avoid parking along key access roads, and

  • Keeping entrances and roadways clear to ensure free movement and emergency access at all times.

These measures are critical to preventing congestion and ensuring the precinct operates smoothly for all users.

RHVMA remains committed to engaging with municipal departments and SAPS to uphold safety, enforce by-laws, and keep Riverhorse Valley running efficiently. We thank you for your continued support and vigilance.
