While most companies affected by last week’s flood have begun their clean-ups, the RHVBEMA cleaning teams are working on clearing the debris and mud on the roads, especially around Island Circle. The clean-up will continue and we hope to secure a Bobcat to assist with clearing the precinct’s affected roads and sidewalks.
Prince uMhlangane Road remains closed due to mud and debris and Metro Police are there controlling and diverting traffic in that area. The sump on the west side of the uMhlangane river is secured, the eastern sump will be assessed once Prince uMhlangane is clear and irrigation in that area has been isolated.
eThekwini Municipality has also been on-site assessing the affected roads.
