Big Clean-Ups, Real Impact: 3831 bags of Waste and 34 Tyres Removed

Cleaning, Greening and Maintenance

The ongoing cleaning, greening and maintenance of the precinct continues to progress well, with all teams working according to schedule and delivering visible results across the area.

Teams Back on Site and Fully Operational

Our cleaning, greening and maintenance teams took a well-deserved break from 23 December 2025, returning to site on 5 January 2026. Since their return, teams have been working tirelessly to ensure the precinct is restored to optimal condition following the festive season. All planned work is now fully back on track, with steady progress being made across key focus areas.

Some of the projects tackled already include:

  • Grass-cutting
  • Tidying of hedges and boundaries
  • River cleaning
  • Weed spraying
  • Litter removal

3831 Bags of Waste and 34 Tyres Removed

The alien invasive control teams remain hard at work, playing a vital role in protecting the precinct’s natural environment. Current activities include cutting two-metre boundary fence lines and ongoing waste collection from the river and surrounding waterways. To date, the teams have collected 3831 bags of waste and removed 34 old tyres from rivers and waterways.

These efforts form part of RHV’s continued commitment to maintaining a clean, green and safe precinct for all stakeholders, residents and visitors.
