Ongoing collaboration between the Riverhorse Valley Business Estate Management Association and eThekwini Municipality, Metro Police, and SAPS has once again delivered tangible service delivery results across the precinct.
Municipal Fault Resolution and Infrastructure Repairs
Over the past few weeks, a total of 10 municipal faults were resolved across key departments, reflecting consistent engagement and follow-up with City officials. These included:
-
Streetlight repairs and traffic signal maintenance, improving visibility and road safety.
-
Water meter leak repairs along Corobrick Road, some of which required repeat attention due to reoccurring issues.
-
Sewer and stormwater maintenance, including the repair of a damaged stormwater manhole, overflow responses, and leak containment efforts in Corobrick Road.
-
Temporary reinstatement of tar where excavation took place during leak repairs, improving the safety and walkability of affected areas.
-
Repairs to damaged bollards in Imvubu Park Close to prevent further unauthorised vehicle access and infrastructure strain.
-
Installation of traffic sensors at Musa Dladla and Queen Nandi Drive, aimed at enhancing traffic data collection and signal responsiveness.

Ongoing Sewer Pump Concern
A notable challenge this month is a sewer pump breakdown on the eastern side of the precinct, which has led to localised sewage leaks. Engagement with the eThekwini Sanitation Department is ongoing, and a replacement pump is currently being sourced and installed. In the interim, our team is actively monitoring the site and escalating any overflow incidents to ensure containment and minimal impact.
Metro Police Enforcement
Metro Police maintained their presence throughout the precinct, with visible operations along Queen Nandi Drive and surrounds. Officers responded to reports of:
-
Illegal parking and road obstruction, particularly by trucks in Imvubu Park Place.
-
General by-law enforcement, assisting in alleviating traffic flow issues and improving safety for all road users.

Their continued support contributes significantly to precinct order and compliance, reinforcing the importance of responsible driving and operational behaviour.
We thank the municipal departments and law enforcement for their responsiveness and remain committed to escalating faults and encouraging accountability to keep Riverhorse Valley safe, clean and functioning efficiently.
