The Riverhorse Valley alien invasive plant management team collected 480 bags of litter from the Umhlangane river last week alone. Precinct manager Nwabisa Mkhize says: “Heavy rains have washed a lot of rubbish into the city’s water ways including the Umhlangane river. Our teams have been hard at work ensuring this waste is removed and disposed of responsibly.” The team also attended to grass cutting on the precinct boundary fence line to ensure clear line of sight and improved security.
